Poseidon

Posted by Marcah (Quincy, United States) on 24 January 2009 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio.

He was a son of Cronos and Rhea. He was accordingly a brother of Zeus, Hades, Hera, Hestia and Demeter, and it was determined by lot that he should rule over the sea.

Nataly from Santa Monica, United States

I just hope they all survive! Oh, dear God...son of Cronos and Rhea, brother of Zeus, Hades, Hera, Hestia and Demeter... Please, we bag your mercy... Please spare those poor soles...
Wow, I like it a lot, Marcah! And off the record Poseidon is my favorite in the Mythology. May be it is because of the fear and fascination with the unknown (the sea).

I see others have recognized the resemblance to a William Turner painting too. I thought that immediately on seeing this work. The subject, the colors and the violence of the sea all fit. Excellent work Marc!
