bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaThis speaks volumes! The texture gives it a look of promise...sad, but perhaps there is hope. Love this. 12 Jan 2009 5:39am Jean-François from LES ISSAMBRES, Franceune GRANDE photo ...... quel travail pour la paix !!!!!!!!!!!!! ....... 12 Jan 2009 6:27am k@ from Paris, FranceJean-François writes "What a great work for Peace" and I do agree like all those who already commented : good treatment, beautiful tones, really well adaptated to the subject : daring is the key, no subject can't be treat if we're sincere and this harsh one, treated with your delicate eye is powerful in its message. The chimney in the background is real perturbating (and great too for that reason). Great work, M* 12 Jan 2009 7:02am Frédéric A. from Païta, New CaledoniaUn paix bien malade en ce début d'année. Des photos comme la tienne nous rappelle nos engagement d'être humain face à la barbarie. La symbolique de ta photo est extraordinaire et développe une puissance énorme. Un magnifique plaidoyer en faveur de la paix 12 Jan 2009 8:29am Craig from Vacaville, California, United StatesA powerful image and beautiful words to accompany it. Too bad the people of most nations aren't smart enough to elect leaders that would allow the world to be as one. 12 Jan 2009 9:31am zOOm from Paris, FranceGreat tribute to Peace Marc ! A powerful image indeed. John Lennon's song fits so well. The words are so... true. Unfortunately. 12 Jan 2009 11:41am john4jack from Corvallis, United StatesWonderful composition and text. The treatment is special ! 13 Jan 2009 4:15am Jeffster from Long Island, United StatesOne of my all time favorite tunes. This compliments your awesome image. I really like the symbolism of the white bird (dove?) 13 Jan 2009 1:19pm JJ from Jersey City, United StatesSuch a powerful post, so symbolic with the Dove representing peace flying over a cemetery 15 Jan 2009 1:22am Twelvebit from Victoria, United StatesNot many right wingers on here I guess, or they're keeping silent. Perhaps my favorite Lennon song, but those ten short lines conjure up all the right-wing bugaboos (secularism, peaceniks, hippies, world government, the UN, liberals, anti-nationalism, etc). In any case, no one running any government is ever going to allow the mass of people to believe there is nothing to kill or die for because their power over us would disappear. This whole planet and every country in it operates on the principle that those who are insufficiently like "us" have inferior claims to life. 16 Jan 2009 5:07pm |
