Lonely Unloved And UnwantedPosted by Marcah (Quincy, United States) on 31 December 2008 in People & Portrait and Portfolio. "There is much suffering in the world - physical, material, mental. The suffering of some can be blamed on the greed of others. The material and physical suffering is suffering from hunger, from homelessness, from all kinds of diseases. But the greatest suffering is being lonely, feeling unloved, having no one. I have come more and more to realize that it is being unwanted that is the worst disease that any human being can ever experience."

bluechameleon from Vancouver, CanadaAbsolutely heartbreaking, poignant and lonely. This is such a strong image, so many emotion bubble up under the surface instantly! Well seen, well documented and of course your processing is stellar as always. 31 Dec 2008 5:48am Suzanne from Huntington Bch, United StatesBluechameleon said is so well, I can only agree wholeheartedly. 31 Dec 2008 6:11am Jean-François from Les Issambres, FranceLife is so cruel and so beautiful also ........ the words of Mother Theresa are so true !!!! yes we can !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..................................... !!!!! bonne fin d'année @ toi ! 31 Dec 2008 6:30am Evelyne Dubos from Le Mans, FranceA very powerful shot, what an emotional shock.... It really touch my heart.... Like your sensibility. 31 Dec 2008 7:35am k@ from Paris, FranceOverwhelming ! Love so much your tones, and the textures move me so deeply... As for Loneliness, of course, I share the words but also hope, and see, that if one wanna try to go towards others, it's not that impossible... I live that every day, in the street or wherever, but of course it's not enough... We have to open up, all of us, and go and meet those who are actually exactly like us. Human beings jut with harsher Being... And yes, we are lonely, everyone, and we aren't... Paradoxes of Life we have to deal with... See you next year with the same oh-so great pleasure, Marc** 31 Dec 2008 8:54am @anubhav: Unfortunately it is all too real. Your message is one that we all need to take to heart as we move into the new year. (It is amazing what happens when you look a homeless person in the eye and simply say, "Hello." The humanity of both you is affirmed. Hopefully this global economic crisis will help us to realize that we are all brothers and sisters. To paraphrase M.L. King, "If any of us is lonely and hungry, we are all lonely and hungry." My brother, my sister, is me. Thank you again.) Peace, love and joy to you and to those you love. 31 Dec 2008 2:40pm Lorna from Regina, CanadaVery dramatic image and quote. It's images like this that make you appreciate what you have. Thank you for the reminder. 31 Dec 2008 4:31pm blackivory from Singapore, SingaporeExcellent shot. And that is indeed the worst kind of suffering. 31 Dec 2008 4:31pm Steve Rice from Olympia, United StatesAnother of your brilliant images. A very powerful statement. Happy New Year. 31 Dec 2008 4:32pm Cricket from Huntsville, United StatesOh my goodness. What a picture of such reality. What a reality to the words! Thank you for sharing. Happy New Year! 31 Dec 2008 4:58pm Pixim from Nice, FranceAn émotional image which shows us perfectly the fracture between the worlds. Of course, without being naive, the course (involuntary or voluntary) of each one can lead to loneliness, misery, your image is a whole symbol. One can sit down on his dreams, one does not see more the light, even more the time which passes… you tried to return all its dignity to this man by seeing it large, but its sadness is larger still. Thank you for all your work carried out (with the preceding photographs), the sharing of your emotions and your vision. 31 Dec 2008 5:22pm always from Santa Clara, United StatesThis is THE photo of the year!
